New to Christview FAQ

We know that being “new” to a church can be intimidating - so we’ve put together a list of questions that we hope will be helpful to you.

What time does your worship service start?

10:30 a.m. There are no assigned seats and you’re free to sit wherever you like.

How do I get to your building?

We’re located at 3133 New Boonesboro Road, 1.2 miles south of the Bypass in Winchester. We’re right beside the site of the new Clark County High School. Currently we have two entrances, one at Justice Drive and one from the high school property (enter at high school drive and immediately veer right onto the Christview property).

What should I wear?

We believe that God looks at the heart, not how a person looks, so we don’t put much emphasis on dress. As such you’ll find people at Christview in jeans and a knit shirt, as well as a coat and tie. We only ask people to dress modestly.

Are there classes for my children?

Yes. Children ages 6 months to 36 months are invited to participate in Ark’s Landing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Caring volunteers oversee the safety and comfort of your child, as well as lead in an age-appropriate Bible lesson. Children age 36 months – 5th grade are dismissed prior to the sermon and participate in The DOCK (Discipling Our Children for the King). Children meet sponsors in the foyer and are taken to the DOCK area in the gym where they have an age-appropriate worship time as well as an age-appropriate Bible lesson. Volunteers are with children for the duration of the program and are dismissed to parents at the conclusion of the service.

What can I expect in the worship service?

Our services are approximately an hour long. Our music style is blended (we sing selections from contemporary Christian radio as well as choruses and classic Christian hymns). The sermon is biblically based and relevant to life today. A public prayer, led by an elder or one of the staff, is offered at least three times during the service. We serve communion weekly and all believers are invited to partake.

What kind of church is Christview?

Christview is an independent, non-denominational Christian Church, historically associated with the Restoration Movement.  In a general sense we are considered an evangelical church and as such refer to the Bible in all matters of belief and doctrine.  Though we are independent we consider ourselves to be a sister church with other Christian Churches and we actively participate in community efforts led by the Clark County Association of Churches.
